                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 1101 AND
                   1105 MACKEY AVENUE, BEING ON THE SOUTHWEST LINE
                   OF MACKEY AVENUE NORTHWEST OF ENGEL AVENUE FROM
                   R-1 RESIDENTIAL ZONE AND C-2 CONVENIENCE
                   COMMERCIAL DISTRICT TO M-2 LIGHT INDUSTRIAL
                   ZONE, SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located at 1101 and 1005 Mackey
                Avenue, being on the southwest line of Mackey
                Avenue northwest of Engel Avenue.  Lots 1 and 2,
                Corrective Plat Pro Lawn Subdivision Resubdivision
                of Lots 113, 114 and 115, Engelton Heights
                Subdivision, as shown by plat of record in plat
                book 44, page 394, R.O.H.C.  Said lots form one
                tract beginning on the southwest line of Mackey
                Avenue 205 feet northwest of the intersection of
                the southwest line of Mackey Avenue with the
                northwest line of Engel Avenue, fronting 259.92
                feet on Mackey Avenue, and extending southwest
                329.52 feet between parallel lines, the northwest
                line of said tract being the southeast line of
                Mackey Avenue.
               
         from R-1 Residential Zone and C-2 Convenience Commercial 
District
         to M-2 Light Industrial Zone.
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this rezoning 

         shall be subject to the following conditions:
        
              1.   Use of property for the existing use plus
                   outdoor storage of trees, plants, shrubs, mulch
                   and similar nursery items.
        
              2.   All existing easements are retained.
        
        
              	   SECTION 3.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, the 
public
         welfare requiring it.
